Obviously the father couldnt do anything at the time, it was too late, the family believes those words still resonate with them. They want to help her, assure that Something Like this never happens again. The family, you can see jim and liz steinle. Her brother is behind the family attorney. And right now they are announcing they are filing claims against three government agencies, namely the sheriff of San Francisco, immigration customs and enforcement agency, and then the bureau of Land Management since it was their gun that killed kate. The family wants those agencies to be held accountable for their daughters death. This claim filing could eventually lead to a lawsuit.
