She finished second in the event. Guinove Joanus won the men's 60 meter dash, boasting a 6.76 second time. Mercy Ntia-Obong set a personal best in the 60 meter dash, completing the race in 7.51 seconds. That was the fastest time in the prelims. She finished fourth in the finals.
