Independence overcame a slow start but ultimately faltered as Ravenwood earned its first region championship Thursday, defeating the Eagles 59-55 in overtime for the 6-4A title at Summit.
Columbia Central picked up an eventually comfortable win, while Ravenwood’s was far from that – despite an early cushion – in District 12-4A tournament semifinal play Friday at Summit.
