Forage is hosting a few upcoming walks in Santa Cruz County. The ones that aren’t sold out include 2 p.m. on Jan. 26, and 10 a.m. Feb. 6 and Feb. 13. The topic for Jan. 26 is Wild Plants & Medicinals; attendees learn about local wild foods, medicinal plants, and edible flowers and depending on availability might be taking some foraged food home with them.
Staff of Life Natural Foods is partnering with Smart Chicken to support Watsonville’s Second Harvest Food Bank. Throughout November, for every 10 pounds of Smart Chicken purchased at Staff of Life in Santa Cruz and Watsonville, Staff of Life and Smart Chicken will donate one pound of chicken to Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County.
