Subdivision request under review | News, Sports, Jobs

chowell@heraldstaronline.com WEIRTON – The Weirton Planning Commission Wednesday gave preliminary approval for a subdivision plan along a portion of Putnam Lane. The commission held a public hearing to take comment from citizens prior to approving the subdivision. Jessie Kreig, of Kensington Investment Properties, owner of the property, was the only citizen in attendance, explaining the subdivision would focus on five lots. One lot currently had a duplex, and Kreig said he plans to build a new single-family house on another lot. “The rest of the lots, I have nothing set in stone,” he said. Upon questions from the commission as to the topography of the land planned for the new house, Kreig said most of the 1.4 acres is flat.
