Zoning board approves requests for new deli | News, Sports, Jobs

chowell@weirtondailytimes.com WEIRTON Some new life is on its way for a vacant building in the Marland Heights section of the city. The Weirton Zoning Board of Appeals Tuesday granted two requests from Kensington Investment, allowing a conditional use permit and a setback variance for property at 3901 Brightway. The property previously was home to the Marland Heights Pharmacy. Jessie Kreig of Kensington Investment explained he had requested the 0-foot setback in order to install at 20-foot-long and 3.4-foot-wide metal awning, which would hang over an existing right-of-way. “There was an awning on the building,” Kreig said. “It was removed.”
