We are starting with some breaking news. Fire officials in oregon say multiple firefighters were injured in a blast in a northwest portland neighborhood. This happened as utility workers were repairing a damaged gas line. Heavy black smoke all over the area this morning. You can see this is a live look of what it looks like out there right now. This is a multistory building and er we will continue to follow this and as we get updates, we will update you during the show. Back at home we have new video coming into the newsroom of the School Bus Crash at dia last month. Up until this point, we havent seen any moments of the crash or the moments leading up to it but we really want to warn you it may be difficult to watch. The heat of the afternoon. Not so much around denver. Now for the Eastern Plains, its been a little more rough with some of those strong thunderstorms moving through. Those are leafing the state but in ken leaving the state. But in denver, high cloudiness. Thank you. Eight horses have been killed in an Early Morning fire in brighton. A barn caught fire just after 2 the fire happened on private property but this is the area where it burned. The call first came in as a weed fire but when firefighters arrived, they found the burning barn. New at 5 00, a thief caught in the act. Surveillance video shows a man stealing from a garage in the middle of the afternoon while the homeowner and his fiance were home. There has drastically spiked. Reporter when we first got this tip, i went to the crime map. This is the baker neighborhood in blue. One noticing a difference. I have noticed more security. Reporter for the downtown partnership, perception is a big deal. The mall brought in 16 million in sales tax revenue last year alone. Police admit as a try to clean up the 16th street mall, the homeless are just going elsewhere. Like here, a mile and a half away to other parts of the city or even beyond. The problem hasnt gone away so we do see some displacement. Some of it has moved outside the city. We have heard from our neighboring cities and districts. Convicted on all counts. I have an altar set up for her, in remembrance of her, and i burned a candle on it this morning, thinking of her. Reporter Michelle Wilkins says her baby aurora was her only thought when the verdict was read. The woman who attacked her and took aurora from her womb was convicted on all counts. And in that moment, i felt like all of that pain was acknowledged. Indicated.
