It is expecting highs in the 70s and 80s. Should be really nice down there. For us, back home we are watching this cold front out across great lakes states. That will get in here later this evening. It could trigger a shower in the poconos or perhaps as far south as northern portions of the Lehigh Valley. But here in the immediate philadelphia area we are looking at nothing more than just a increase in cloud with that approaching front. Lots of sunshine to start. Your noon Time Temperature 55. By 2 00 oclock. Fifty
Into wildwood. So, well talk about what we can expect. The snow will arrive during the overnight hours from the southeast to northwest direction. The steadiest of that snow moves in from 9 00 a. M. To 3 oclock. Highest totals south and east of philadelphia, slushy and slick roads is a big concern as we go throughout the rest of the day. Weve got more details coming up with the full and exclusive accuweather forecast. Well send it back over you to brian. Melissa thank you. Lets switch live to chad pradelli live at the penndot salt yard in norristown. Chad, our very first live shot of the season there. I guess that means theres getting ready tonight. Reporter yeah, brian, hopefully not many more but a press conference under way as we speak as penndot updates us on its operations for this storm. Vine street expressway underneath where there are no traffic lights is also of course jam packed across town. Getting onto 95 northbound, 54 minutes going on an hour on the northbound side. Thats about four times what it should be. At least you can see the lanes here. The lanes are mostly wet but theyre slippery enough that people are really needing to slow down and as we look at the big picture, you get a sense of all the red and all the single digit speeds around the region. It really is nasty. We had an overturned vehicle on the southbound northeast extension near quakertown. Looks like thats now off to the side so just starting to improve there with speeds in the 30s and in south jersey our travel times, a little better than it was earlier but still a really slow pace on the southbound side of 42. Delaware also has its fair share of single digit speeds. Yeah, its bad. Stopped in a lot of spots this evening. Jim. Matt pelman, thank you. Now the latest on the accuweather alert from m

So, visibilities are a bit better but that is also going to deteriorate a little bit later this afternoon. Temps are bitterly cold. 23 in allentown, 25 philadelphia. So its a fluffy snow and again cold enough that it is sticking on all surfaces. So, this is a very quick hit of snow but a very bad timing here. It will clear the coast at 7 oclock this evening. Temps tonight going 19 to 24 degrees. So, roads are going to remain very slick even after the snow departs. Well chart about the upcoming weekend and sharrie in fact were talking 50s to melt the snow away somewhere in that sevenday forecast and brian well talk with i was little bit. Adam thanks. We turn to john rawlins
Bands of some heavier snow across parts of south jersey where you can see kind of that pinkish color near hammonton, near medford lakes, Atlantic City, lbi, this is where were getting more moderate snow. Generally were looking at one to 3 inches of snow. So, its not a lot of snow, its the timing during the evening commute. Its affecting visibilities. You can see philadelphia and trenton visibility less than a mile. Atlantic city airport visibility less than a mile and a half but you can see how things are really clearing out. Reading visibility up to 8 miles so this is a very quick hit. The problem, though, temperatures have been stuck in the 20s all day long, so any flake is sticking on the roads. Its 25 in philadelphia. Trenton 23. Reading 22 and the north and west suburbs, temperatures will be dropping down into the teens tonight. So, do be careful with icy spots on the roads even after the snow ends. So, this is what to expect tonight. That snow will that continue clearing from the
