WEST CHESTER, PA The Who and Where of vaccine distribution in Chester County are answerable this week, but the When question remains dependent on supplies, according to the county health department.
As Chester and Delaware county residents in the first phase of distribution began receiving their vaccinations this week, there were many questions for the health department about when the 1A group of frontline workers would be vaccinated, and when the next group would begin getting theirs. The short answer was that no definite time can be set.

James Kerr’s full-time job is teaching people how to work in emergency services, and when he’s not teaching, he’s doing the work of a first responder part time.
He loves being able to help people, he said, but this year has had him walking on eggshells, constantly weighing the danger he’s potentially exposing himself to at work, whether it’s at a coronavirus testing site or transporting a COVID-19 patient.

WEST CHESTER, PA The Chester County Health Department today began vaccinating EMS providers and frontline healthcare personnel with the first shipment of 2,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA In Chester County there were 463 fewer new COVID-19 cases reported in the week of Dec. 18-24 than there were in the week before, and the incidence rate also dropped in Chesco.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health updated its information Dec. 25, reporting 1,444 new COVID-19 cases in Chester County for the week of Dec. 18-14. Between Dec. 11-17, Chester County saw 1,907 new cases, a drop of 463.
The downward turn showed up in the incidence rate measure also. The week of Dec. 11-17 the incidence rate in Chester County was reported at 365.3 per 100,000 residence. The week of Dec. 18-24 the incidence rate was 276.6 per 100,000 residents.
