Letter to the Editor: City Council still not protecting city
Council members Sullivan, Wylie and Silva have a clear agenda that is anti-police. They still haven’t stood up and specifically condemned the anti-police graffiti and death threats.
Sullivan refuses to stand up for the city’s police officers, he refuses to condemn all police threats and violence against our Police Department. Sullivan’s posting on his Facebook page, “don’t believe everything you hear on social media” as well as him saying “we have families, we have lives, and your irresponsible statements can put those in jeopardy,” only seem to apply to himself.
Letter to the Editor: Vacaville has trustworthy City Council
In the midst of mud-slinging at the new Vacaville City Council, let’s take a look at the new council members themselves and what they plan to do.
Jeanette Wylie spent decades teaching students in Vacaville. She also is a leader in her church, and a leader in her teacher’s union. She will be an asset on the City Council. Her priorities are to operate government in a transparent manner, neighborhood parks, affordable housing, transportation routes to accommodate our growth and great schools.
Mike Silva has also spent his career helping others. He is a professor of biotechnology, served two years on the Vacaville School Board and was the president of the Solano County School Boards Association.
