Letter to the Editor: Vacaville has trustworthy City Council In the midst of mud-slinging at the new Vacaville City Council, let’s take a look at the new council members themselves and what they plan to do. Jeanette Wylie spent decades teaching students in Vacaville. She also is a leader in her church, and a leader in her teacher’s union. She will be an asset on the City Council. Her priorities are to operate government in a transparent manner, neighborhood parks, affordable housing, transportation routes to accommodate our growth and great schools. Mike Silva has also spent his career helping others. He is a professor of biotechnology, served two years on the Vacaville School Board and was the president of the Solano County School Boards Association.
