Pittston voters are expected to weigh in on the town's $1.95 million spending plan at Saturday's annual Town Meeting, and head to the polls to choose a new selectman and decide whether to recall Selectman Joe Caputo.
Residents will be able to give input on the controversial issue before before they vote on Thursday at the special town meeting to be held at 6 p.m. at the Town Office at 38 Whitefield Road.
With a petition to recall one of the town's three selectmen in limbo for weeks, town officials have scheduled a Feb. 22 public hearing on whether to change the town's recall ordinance or eliminate it and follow state law instead.
Jean Ambrose could face repercussions for letting the resident into the town's RiverWalk property after the Select Board voted in October to close it due to a potentially dangerous leak.
