Customs and Border Protection along with u. S. Border patrol released the apprehension numbers so far for fiscal year 2019, which began back in october. That data shows the highest numbers since 2007. An increase in the number of family units taken into custody versus the same period of time last year. Unaccompanied minors and families, incidentally, not accounting for 60 of all apprehensions. Border patrol agents say they are arresting about 2,000 people every single day across the entire southwest border.
