JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A former Greene County reserve deputy was released Thursday afternoon from custody.
On Thursday, a federal judge agreed to release 40-year-old Jason Wolfenbarger of Paragould into the custody of his brother as he awaits his next court appearance.
The judge, however, stipulated that Wolfenbarger, the former director of the Northeast Arkansas Solid Waste Management District, have no contact with employees at his former workplace.
Another condition of his release includes Wolfenbarger enroll in a 30-day in-patient treatment facility.

GREENE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - When a former reserve deputy was arrested on federal weapons charges, investigators say they caught him with a meth pipe in his hand.
Jason Wolfenbarger, 40, of Paragould appeared before a federal judge Wednesday on a charge of the sale or transfer of a firearm to a prohibited person.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on April 28 an informant told an FBI special agent that they were “familiar with Wolfenbarger and had seen him smoke meth.”
