The Pleasanton City Council this week issued a statement to its residents asking for a 20 water reduction. This rain storm coming in over the next 24 hours will bring in as much rain as pleasanton has seen in the past seven months. We need rain. Farmers need rain. Ranchers need rain. The reservoir, Everybody Needs rain. Were absolutely thrilled with the rain. We need it. In fact, almost an inch of rain now in some parts of the north bay. Almost half inch into San Francisco. And look at this. We have some significant rainfall now pouring in parts of the bay area and more to come. Most of the heavy rainfall will come through early this morning but you can see that into San Francisco now. Intense rainfall. That line of showers stronger towards san jose. The portola valley, along the coastline into Half Moon Bay, we are also seeing some heavy rain. But really its everywhere. The kpix doppler is picking up light echos and for all of that, theres not a lot of rain with this. Maybe three quarters of an inch overnight. They will all spread south. And south bay. Expecting that heavy rainfall to taper off as we head into the latter part of the morning. There is plenty of rain now in towards san jose. Some heavy downpours showing up there. Also in along the peninsula, half moon bay, san mateo, redwood city, as you make your way toward the east bay we are also seeing some strong storms developing there.
