The 2021 homicide list includes six victims under the age of 18. The total of 22 homicides matches the 2020 total, Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said.

Two suspects are behind bars in this week’s killing of a 16-year-old in Tuscaloosa.
Jashon Griffin, 22, and Johnneius Wilson, 17, have been arrested and charged with capital murder and attempted murder. Wilson was already out on a bond for a murder with which he was charged in June 2020.
Xzorian Gray was killed in this week’s shooting that happened about 11 p.m. Tuesday near Fosters Ferry Road and 21st Street. Tuscaloosa police arrived at the scene to find Gray wounded inside a vehicle.
