In a august 6th, 1945, the United States detonated the First Nuclear weapon in history over the city of hiroshima, japan, followed by a second detonation august 9th over the city of nagasaki. Six days later japan surrendered bringing an end to the second world war. I have received this afternoon message from the japanese government and applied to the message forded to the secretary on august 11th. I deem this reply a full acceptance of the potsdam declaration which specifies the Unconditional Surrender of japan.
