Because people have to get home by 10 00, that means i have to close an hour earlier. We lose revenue. Bills dont get paid because we count on that money on a friday and saturday night. Those are our busiest nights. Reporter down the street at this brewery, the owner says adapting to all the pandemic restrictions has been a roller coaster. But he thinks the temporary curfew wont change his bottom line by too much. We normally close at 10 00 anyways, and we do our last call like at 9 30. So by 10 00 we should be almost done. Reporter customers say theyll likely start coming out to eat a little earlier, but most say theyll keep coming. Not everyone agrees on the need for a curfew. We got to cut this virus. We got to take charge of it and, you know, thats one way to do it. Just close down early. To me, the virus doesnt have a time schedule, so doesnt make sense . About its new travel quarantine, which was just rereclarified again by the county in the past hour. Nbc bay areas robert handa was at todays announcement and why its so crucial to get moving on it. Reporter the race is on as the Public Health Department Works to keep its vaccine and quarantine plans on track, even as covid cases surge. Whether its a vaccine or a travel quarantine, its all about trying to stop what Public Health calls a chain of transmission. The latest numbers show parts of the south bay running out of hospital beds. We are especially concerned because none of the hospitals serving south county and East San Jose had more than five icu beds available as of yesterday. Reporter the downy submitted its vaccine plan to the state detailing how it will distribute and administer vaccinations.
