The North-Eastern Hill University Students’ Union (NEHUSU) has condemned the central university’s decision to declare a half-holiday on January 22 to observe the Ram temple consecration event and threatened to lock down the campus if the notification is not withdrawn.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has reversed its decision to remain closed for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. The outpatient department (OPD) will now remain open for patients with appointments to prevent inconvenience. AIIMS Bhubaneswar also announced a half-day closing for the ceremony, which has been criticized by opposition leaders.
