Outside, today. Definitely good we are looking outside construction crews are loving this. They are out there, they are every where and we will have a few accidents, we will get to that in a little bit. But, it is still enough you will notice it, especially if your commute is a long one, keep that in mind, you may encounter that no dense fog advisories, so that is helpful , knowing it will not be quite as bad but there are trouble spots here most definitely at or under a half mail visibility, millville, wilmington, ac airport, lancaster getting in on that. But in berks county in reading you are only at 10 miles visibility. Key to remember with a map like this these are observation sites, that 1 mile visibility at philly international isnt ideal but it doesnt necessarily represent the whole tire city of philadelphia, you will see this if you go come through in patches. So expect thaw can run into it now storm scan very often will make it tough for us to detect fog out there. It is there
Katie and meisha are keeping an eye on things this morning. Good morning. Im overcome with love and joy. It is valentines day. You have to be filled with love. Do you love valentines day. Were on the same page. We do, we do. I love it. Love, love, love. We love you guys. Were looking good, katie, tell us, in rain. Well, i cannot tell you that not until later on tonight but just step back and defend myself. Today is my moms birthday, happy birthday, mom that has been what february 14th is always about but my anniversary is 10 days away. Very happy. So we have Different Reasons to say it is a drop in the bucket for me but lets take a look, through the overnight we have actually seen, a couple have light showers whether it is freezing rain or snow moving through here, poconos, specifically so if you are traveling up that way and worry about possibility of black ice, for the most part that has made its exit but you will have aftermath in those areas, so calling on our weather watchers we h
And the potential for some small hail. We will track these storms as they head towards the shore. Then we will see nice changes overnight tonight. Before that today we have hot weather. Chief meteorologist glenn hurricane schwartz is standing by with a look at that. Those storms put an end at least temporary end to the heat although we did get into the 90s in at least part of the area. It was a close call but we had temperatures going up from the 80s into the 90s in philadelphia. We got up to 90 degrees at 1 00 and the official high was 91 but you can see how much cooler it got north and west because the showers came in sooner. Then we dropped into the 70s as the showers came in and now we are all pretty comfortable. We now have an official heat wave, three days in a row of temperatures of 90 plus. Now we are going to be busting the humidity but the temperature is still going to be up there. As we go through the day, tomorrow, you are not going to see a heat index like this where it go
Dry, how is it looking. Everything is good. Were getting rid of the humidity. Health still stand but what do you expect it is late july heading in to early august but more comfortable today. Will let check out what is happening as we look at current temperatures looking better at 74 Philadelphia International airport. Sixtyfive in allentown. Sixtynine in reading. Some suburbs looking real good quakertown this hour is 63 degrees. Mid 60s in pottstown. Willow grove one of the warmer spots or mount holly, new jersey in the lower 07s. The win direction notice arrows out of the northwest and they have shifted bringing in the slightly cooler but dryer air mass, this morning. That is why humidity is gone. Dew point temperatures are showing we are down in the lower 60s. Lower 07s in south jersey and delaware indicating left over tropical air but that should get out of here in the Morning Hours setting up to see a comfortable, hot afternoon. Is there cold front that moved off shore brought heav
Times later today as well. So, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, both figure tiffly, literally, with sunshine later today. But outside right now, on storm scan3, you can see, there is some shower activity, the more heavy rain the coast, at this point, but, again, it is drizzly, it is foggy out there. And here is your proof. This is a picture from our rooftop cam here at Eyewitness News, and you cant even see one and two Liberty Place, you cant see the comcast tower, only couple of blocks away from us here at our station at Spring Garden. Now, to go along with the foggy and dreary weather, it is the warm temperatures. We are waking up, it is 66 degrees, very mild, on this sunday morning, southwesterly winds, about 5 miles an hour, so south and west, thats the main thing that were looking at with the winds. Coming in out of the south and west, bring the warm and muggy air with it, thats why temperatures here not just 66 in philly but seeing hi, 60s, in a few areas back down towa
