In support of the government. Flames tore through a Cambodian Buddhist temple this morning. Reporter as part of a celebration that happens every year, there were as many as a thousand candles left lit inside this temple. You can see some over here near the statue. Those unattended candles in all likelihood sparked this Early Morning fire. The oakland Cambodian Buddhist temple was destroyed by this fire but thankfully, everybody who was staying here last night made it out safely, although three people were treated for minor injuries, including smoke inhalation. This was the scene around 2 30 a. M. , huge flames burning through the temple on east 10th street and 52nd avenue. Those flames quickly spread to an unoccupied house on the backside of the property and then to the house next door to the temple. We begin this morning with a tragedy in westchester. An argument between two teenagers turns violent and then deadly. A 17yearold boy stabbed, a 16yearold arrested. Weve been tracking this story. Still unclear what sparked this fight in the first place. Friends stopped by a makeshift memorial where he lost his life. Michael george is in sleepy hold he with details. Reporter in a small park in the village of Sleepy Hollow, dozens of teens lit candles and came together to mourn the loss of a friend murdered a the age of 17.
