SEN’s Sam Edmund is reporting that North Melbourne will be without recruit Jaidyn
Stephenson for up to six weeks with a fractured wrist.
Stephenson has suffered a hairline fracture of the scaphoid and will go in for surgery on Monday night.
It’s another blow to the Kangaroos who are yet to win a game so far this season.
Stephenson, 22, has impressed since arriving from Collingwood last trade period, averaging a career-high 19.2 disposals and 3.5 inside 50s per match.
North Melbourne will look to notch their first win of the campaign against fellow strugglers Hawthorn in Launceston on Saturday.

Dear Eddie,
You came to Collingwood when the club was on its knees – just ten years after their historical drought-breaking 1990 flag, the club was now a wooden spooner, struggling financially, and rudderless.
You poached premiership coach Mick Malthouse from his West Coast contract, and rebuilt Collingwood into an off-field powerhouse. Share
You had to oversee the heartbreak of the 2002–03 grand final losses but, amazingly, after just two years out of the finals, the club was already trending back upwards. Despite losing a swath of experienced champions over 2007–09, Collingwood made the preliminary final in 2009, and won the flag in 2010.

Collingwood s four-goal run late in the second term, which set-up a 30-point halftime lead, was the difference as the Magpies did enough to prevail 14.10 (94) to 11.10 (76) after their worst start to a season in 16 years.
North won the inside-50 count 55-52, even dominating possession in the final quarter, but let the Magpies off the hook with numerous wasted opportunities in front of goal.
After three games up forward, Darcy Moore was thrown back and the All-Australian defender had a field day, bringing down a career-high 19 marks and gathering 28 disposals.
Darcy Cameron (three goals) and Brody Mihocek (two), as well as a two-goal cameo from captain Scott Pendlebury, ensured the Magpies still had enough forward threats to win in Steele Sidebottom s 250th game.

Former Collingwood recruiter Matt Rendell is not at all surprised that list manager Ned Guyâs tenure at the club has come to an end.
The Magpies announced on Thursday that Guy had stepped down following an off-season which resulted in Adam Treloar, Jaidyn Stephenson, Tom Phillips and Atu Bosenavulagi moving to other clubs.
The former player manager took over as Pies list boss at the end of 2017 and will stay on in the role until after the Mid-Season Draft in early June.
Rendell personally believes that Guy did not watch a great deal of footy outside of the AFL.

At the top, Melbourne has the chance to widen the gap over the Western Bulldogs in second place, while a matchup of the league s worst teams in Collingwood and North Melbourne could have big implications in who finishes last this season. In that first matchup, Lance Franklin and Dane Rampe will return to bolster the Swans while the Dees still haven t had to make many changes to their best lineup. Around the league, a tight game could be expected between Gold Coast and Saint Kilda as they both look to prove they re capable of sneaking back into the top eight by the fall. For this week s lineup, some familiar faces join other talented stars in the hopes of being the best of the bunch.
