That means that people on this wall and these pictures in the government are likely to face some more questions in all of this about what as attorney general barr says quote the government was doing. Here now byron york chief Political Correspondent for the Washington Examiner and fox news contributor. Byron, good to see you tonight. Thank you, martha. They were fathers who would never meet their infant sons and daughters. They had a job to do. With god as their witness they were going to get it done. More powerful than the strength of american arms was the strength of american hearts. These men ran through the fires of hell, moved by a forced no weapon could destroy. The fierce patriotism of a free, proud, and sovereign people. Martha those heroes the president spoke up today were led by general dwight d. Eisenhower, commander of the allied forces were nine years later would become president of the united states. He was the architect of dday, bearing the weight of the world on his shoulders at that moment as he led hundred and 50,000 allied soldiers to a victory over hitlers
Though the horrors of D-Day live on today through diaries, documentaries, and other records few veterans are still alive and able to remember the tragedy that occurred on June 6th, 1944. But there are some, like 98-year-old Jack Gutman, who is still able to recount why honoring the sacrifice and
