A 25-year-old man faces multiple charges after allegedly gunning down a 34-year-old man who was attending a New Brighton memorial for a shooting victim in September.
Tyler Carmon, 25, a resident of the 500 block of Manor Road in Castleton Corners, was charged Thursday with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a firearm, according to a statement from the NYPD.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Two men were arrested with a stash of weapons and an unusual controlled substance during a car stop in West Brighton, authorities allege.
Hussein Tulyan, 33, of the 200 block of Broad Street, Stapleton, and Jaber Alatwli, 42, of the 1300 block of Rockland Avenue, New Springville, were traveling in a 2014 Ford Fusion that was pulled over by police at about 7 p.m. on Sunday in the vicinity of Bement and Castleton avenues, according to the criminal complaint and police.
