Clayton, N.C. The Cleveland Rams defeated the Clayton Comets in a huge rivalry game for the second time this season, and this time the stakes were even higher.
For the first time since the school opened in 2010, the Rams are headed to a football state championship game after a 49-21 win over their nearby nemesis.
It appeared that may not be the case early on, as the Comets jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead after quarterback Noah Anderson hit Jayden Farrington for a deep 75-yard touchdown which was quickly followed by a 76-yard touchdown run for the visitors.
