Chief minister Champai Soren laid the foundation stone of Birgram (Jamtara) and Berbediya (Nirsa) bridge over river Barakar at Birgram on Sunday. The 2.84km four-lane bridge to be constructed at a cost of Rs 263.88 crore will reduce the distance between Jamtara and Nirsa in Dhanbad by 30 km from the existing 65 km.
Jamtara: According to the reports, more than 12 people died on the spot and several got injured after a high-speed train ran over them. The saddening incident happened at Jharkhand s Jamtara on Wednesday.
