The man drove there after bullets were fired in his car, shattering the glass and cutting his body. The second shooting was off the plaza in a shopping center. A man and a woman were shot in a car. Both victims were taken to the hospital with major injuries. And the third shooting happened around 8 00 off barrington drive in east charlotte. The victims girlfriend says her boyfriend was walking back from the store when he was shot in the leg. Police say he will be okay. Overnight, a fourth shooting. This one happened near brook tree drive in northwest charlotte. A female victim was shot in the leg and drove herself to darby avenue and eventually the hospital. And i just checked in with the captain here at cmpd headquarters. He says so far one person is in custody thats related to the brookshire boulevard shooting. No one in any of the other shootings. Breaking news in caldwell county. One person is in custody for the stabbing of a mother and toddler. The suspect stabbed the woman on Fairway Acres drive south of lenoir. The toddler was seriously hurt and airlifted to the hospital. We are checking another child for injuries as well. We are asking how the toddler was injured and information about the suspect and his charges. We will update you as soon as we learn more.
