race across all five primary states. donald trump s candidate, dr. oz, leads dave mccormick with over 95% of precincts reporting. pennsylvania state law requires an automatic recount if the margin of victory is within half a percentage point, which it looks like it will be. for the democrats, lieutenant governor john fetterman won his primary by a big margin, despite a last-minute health scare. fetterman, who just suffered a stroke, was having surgery to insert a pacemaker, even as the votes were being cast. and pennsylvania s republican voters rewarded candidates who supported stop the steal. far right republican doug mastriano will face off against josh shapiro for the governor s mansion. if elected, he promises to reset pennsylvania s voter rolls and force everyone in the state to reregister, though it s not clear that s legal. mastriano was not the only republican on a stop the steal ticket. ted budd from north carolina defeated a republican running for senate and urged m
