Hinton was most recently the head of portfolio management – individual life at TAL, where she was responsible for overseeing the commercial performance of the retail and direct businesses.
She had more than 20 years’ experience in the life insurance industry, which included in roles spanning customer retention, claims and underwriting insights, pricing, analytics, and portfolio management.
She had also spent a significant portion of her career in actuarial consulting for Trowbridge Consulting and Ernst & Young.
Hinton was currently the chair of the International Committee for the Actuaries Institute of Australia.
She had also been chair of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) Education Committee since 2016.

MLC Life Insurance has recruited Bozenna Hinton as head of portfolio management, individual life, at TAL to be its new general manager of product, pricing and retail insurance proposition.
In the new role, Ms Hinton is reporting directly to chief life insurance officer Michael Rogers and has become a member of his life insurance leadership team.
She will be responsible for ensuring the sustainability of MLC Life Insurance’s portfolio, including the new income protection product to be launched later this year.

Nicolas Papadopoulo Named President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Arch Capital Group Ltd.
Arch Capital Group Ltd. [NASDAQ: ACGL] today announced that Nicolas Papadopoulo will be promoted to the position of President and Chief Underwriting Officer, effective Jan. 1, 2021. Papadopoulo joined Arch in 2001 and currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Arch Worldwide Insurance Group and Chief Underwriting Officer for Property and Casualty Operations. In his expanded role, Papadopoulo will continue to report to Marc Grandisson, CEO of ACGL, and will have responsibility for Arch s three operating segments - Insurance, Reinsurance and Mortgage - as well as oversight of the Strategy and Innovation team.
