Our visitors dont come as blank slates, they come with a preconceived set of ideas, not uninformed but misinformed. As you can see, just a couple of years ago at the vatican. This is a man there at the vatican celebrating as she understands native american culture. This is one of those examples where we can hardly alter at fault. She does not know any better because this is what she has been taught. This entire notion of Cultural Appropriation and taking from native people of their authority to define who they are emerged at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.
