Nothing can get Indians up and running like a healthy discount offer. These days, it is the goal of scoring a vaccine appointment thatâs got us scurrying around.
We are checking the CoWIN app and website every now and then, feverishly digging through Telegram chats, and asking friends and even foes, âTumne vaccine kahan se lagwaya?â
Someone somewhere decided to create an offering that is, perhaps, the closest weâve come to a win-win situation in recent times: a vaccine discount.

Take the jab, get a discount! From flight tickets to burgers to fixed deposit rates, consumers are flooded with such offers that double up as a sales promotion as the economy limps back to recovery after the second-wave restrictions are gradually lifted.
Budget carrier IndiGo is offering a discount of up to 10 per cent to vaccinated individuals, including those who have got the first dose. This discount will be available from Wednesday. It will be calculated on the basic fare.

In order to encourage people to get Covid-19 jabs, the Central Bank of India has launched a special deposit scheme - Immune India Deposit Scheme - offering an additional interest rate of 25 basis points (bps) above the applicable card rate for those who get vaccinated.
Immune India Deposit Scheme has a maturity of 1,111 days, and is for a limited period. Senior citizens are eligible for extra interest as applicable.

MUMBAI: In a first, the Central Bank of India has said that it will offer depositors who vaccinate against Covid 25 basis points (100bps = 1 percentage points) higher return under a special scheme.
The special rate is applicable for single dose as well.
“In order to encourage vaccination under Covid, Central Bank of India, as a part of their social commitment to a healthy society, has brought out a special deposit product ‘Immune India Deposit Scheme’ for 1,111 days at an extra interest rate of 25bps above the applicable card rate for citizens who got vaccinated,” the bank said in a statement.
