Hyderabad (TS) DGP along with CPs of the Tri-Commissionerate of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda hit the road in a widespread crackdown on lockdown violators.
Cops seized the vehicles of food and other e-commerce delivery boys who were found flouting restrictions.
The strict enforcement comes after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao expressed dissatisfaction with the lockdown measures during a video conference on Friday.
Amid rise in Covid cases, Telangana is under partial lockdown till the end of May.
Telangana state DGP Mahender Reddy instructed all shop owners and vegetable vendors not to allow customers after 9:30 am and observe lockdown by 10 am sharp. The DGP also advised the public to visit only nearby markets so that they can return home early.

Hyderabad: State-imposed lockdown seems to have come as a blessing in disguise to Hyderabad, at least for the choking megalopolis, if not for its citizenry. Within a span of six days of going into the lockdown, the pollution levels have dropped considerably leaving the city’s skyline a bit placated. The lockdown which was imposed across the state on May 11 due to the second wave of Covid-19 has led to the reduction of air pollution.
Hyderabad: As Telangana is under lockdown as of now, the officials have urged the citizens to not flout the Covid rules. It is important to follow these norms, for the safety of all.
