A woman was sexually assaulted early Friday morning by an intruder at her home off Owen Drive and police suspect the attack may be related to three others in the area, according to a statement released Friday evening by the Fayetteville Police Department.
The most recent incident happened shortly before 5 a.m. Friday, when a woman was awakened by an intruder, described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5-feet 5-inches tall with a thin build and thin mustache. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark pants with red shorts underneath and colorful shoes, according to the news release.
The intruder fled after the assault, police said.
