2 robbery suspects shot to death by victim in northeast Harris County, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) Two suspects who tried to rob a driver in northeast Harris County were shot to death, authorities say.

It happened in the 4500 block of Keith Street near I-69 and Little York Road on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Harris County Sheriff s Office, a 19-year-old was sitting in his parked car eating lunch when he was approached by the two men.
It happened on Eastex Freeway near Cavalcade around 10 p.m.
The woman was driving her pickup on the freeway when someone in another car drove next to her and began firing through her driver s side door, Houston police said.
She managed to drive home and call 911, according to officers. She was stable at a hospital, but the extent of the injuries wasn t known Thursday morning.
There was no description of the shooting suspect or vehicle believed to be involved.
Wednesday night s incident was the latest in a trend in violent incidents on Houston roads. Last year, there were 200 road rage incidents involving shootings in the first 10 months of 2020 compared to 150 in the same time the year before. That is a 30% increase. Those 200 incidents included six murders.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) A man was shot and killed Sunday morning during a chase and gunfight that began as a carjacking, authorities said.
The victim had stopped at a gas station in the 6000 block of Southwest Freeway around 1:45 a.m. and had left his vehicle running when he got out and was visiting with a friend, according to Houston police. That s when someone jumped in and took off in the vehicle.
The victim and his friend chased the suspect and eventually caught up with him in the 9000 block of Renwick Drive. During the confrontation, both the suspect and the victim s friend began shooting, police said.
Man with assault-style rifle shoots 4 outside Acres Homes seafood market, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) A man with an assault-style rifle shot four men outside a market Tuesday evening in Acres Homes, police said.
Houston police responded to the shooting outside Danny s Seafood Market in the 900 block of West Little York around 6:15 p.m.
Commander James Bryant said a group of people were standing on the side of the store when a sedan, possibly a Chevy Impala, drove up and stopped.
One passenger carrying what Bryant described as an assault-style rifle got out and unloaded more than 10 rounds.
It happened around 4:45 a.m. in the 8500 block of Rannie Road near Ryson.
It began in the 8600 block of Rayson when the victim got into some kind of altercation with the driver of another vehicle, according to Houston police.
After fighting in the street, the two vehicles met up on Rannie Road, where a Hispanic man with a beard opened fire into the victim s car, hitting her three to four times, police said.
Another woman was inside the car when it happened, but she was not injured.
The shooter took off in a silver pickup. Detectives were working to identify him and take him into custody. Officers believe they may have found the pickup involved in the 8500 block of Pitner, but no arrests had been made Saturday morning.
