Woman shot to death inside car during road rage shooting in northwest Houston neighborhood

It happened around 4:45 a.m. in the 8500 block of Rannie Road near Ryson. It began in the 8600 block of Rayson when the victim got into some kind of altercation with the driver of another vehicle, according to Houston police. After fighting in the street, the two vehicles met up on Rannie Road, where a Hispanic man with a beard opened fire into the victim s car, hitting her three to four times, police said. Another woman was inside the car when it happened, but she was not injured. The shooter took off in a silver pickup. Detectives were working to identify him and take him into custody. Officers believe they may have found the pickup involved in the 8500 block of Pitner, but no arrests had been made Saturday morning.

Man shot to death during fight with teenagers in northeast Harris County

It happened around 6:30 p.m. in the Timber Hills community on Spring Brook Pass Drive. The victim had taken his daughter to fight other teens in the community when adults joined in the brawl, Harris County sheriff s deputies said. At some point, the man, identified as Brandon Curtis, joined in the fight and witnesses said he hit a teen boy several times. The boy s older brother then shot the man, saying he worried for his brother s safety. Authorities said video evidence supports the shooter s claim. The case will be referred to a grand jury without charges.

Police say he was walking with a friend in the area of Fannin and McElhinney, when a man at a stop sign pulled out a gun and started shooting. According to police, they have no motive behind the shooting but are convinced that Suell, who was an up-and-coming entertainer, was an innocent victim.
