Reporter the search teams in Southern California are working to clear the areas buried in mud and debris after the tuesday rains. We still dont know how many people are trap. Reporter the torrential rain overwhelmed the town of montecito and surrounding communities triggering devastating mudslides. Helicopters rescued dozens and crews on the ground searched for the victims. It looks like the world war i battlefield. It was a carpet of mud and debris everywhere. Reporter in burbank another massive mudslide with dirt and debris flowing to the neighborhood damaging homes. The rushing of the mud and water, the power is amazing. Take a look at thehe l cone of uncertainty. The storm, the center of the storm can really travel anywhere in between those two white lines. But notice that now it is staying out to sea. It is not clipping the yucatan peninsula areas like cancun. So, as it entered the warmer waters of the gulf, that will help to feed the storm and likely increase it to a category 1 hurricane later tomorrow, very early sunday. You can see as it makes land fall, likely somewhere around louisiana or mississippi, so parts of louisdreyfus lieu, mississippi, the alabama and florida coast line really under the gun with this storm. The biggest concern will be storm surge flooding. Take a look as it continues to move toward the north, northeast eventually. And then get this easterly component impacting our area on monday.
