PUTRAJAYA: A four-month-old infant in Sabah is the youngest casualty out of 826 people in the country who succumbed to Covid-19.
The child was said to be suffering from a heart disease, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah reported in his daily Covid-19 press statement.
The infant boy, a Malaysian, passed away at Hospital Tawau and is one of the 17 Covid-19 deaths announced yesterday.
“Today’s deaths included four cases in Selangor, three each in Sabah and Sarawak, two each in Johor and Pahang, one each in Kelantan, Melaka and Negri Sembilan.
“Fifteen of these cases involved Malaysians while two were foreigners. The Health Ministry would like to convey its condolences to the family members, ” said Dr Noor Hisham.
