We started to call everybody we knew, called the hospital, called the police. Reporter one of the calls was to her father kevin bryne who went to search for her. He is studying to be a firefighter and at the restaurant where she waitresses, coworkers describe her as reliable, energetic. She was like yeah im going and then she didnt come back. And its crazy
Music festival, it was the worst news possible. Thats what everyone is worrying about. Reporter friends say she liked to wander off by herself and investigators say the road where her body was found lies between the Horizon Hotel where she was stay iing and the conce venue. At this time in their investigation they do not see any outward signs of trauma. Reporter the Sheriffs Department says its likely she was among the many concert goers who decided to walk back from the concert. Because the line for the shuttle buses was too long. That seems a contradictive statement from a friend who investigators say was the list to see her alive. Alex said he ran into her at the hotel after mnight new years day and that she was intoxicated or under the influence of some kind of drug. Investigators now say alex was probably mistaken, but they havent complete ly discounted his story. Its possible that she goes to the casino, returns to the event and comes back. Those are all theories well look into.
At approximately 8 30 this morning a utility worker in south lake tahoe, california, observed a body of a person over a snow bank off pioneer trail between black bart and el tahoe. The body was approximately ten feet off the roadway. Reporter the neighbors came by much earlier this morning with food and drinks and flowers well before the Douglas County sheriff made that awful announcement this morning. Alyssa byrnes body found in the snow. Were hearing that there were no signs of trauma or foul play. A worker found the body. He was in a high vehicle. It appears she may have been walking and fell. She was last seen new years after attending a music festival. She told her friends she was taking a shuttle to the hotel and may have walked instead. The deputies still need to trace her cell phone and figure out those last steps. The investigation will continue.
