Walz urges passage of biofuels infrastructure grant program

Refueling Car NEW HOPE, Minn. – Gov. Tim Walz is calling for passage of the Governor’s Biofuels Infrastructure Grant Program. It would award $2-million in grants per year to service stations for the installation of equipment to pump higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel. Walz says biofuels are critical to Minnesota, our agricultural and rural economies and to help meet climate goals. The governor touted the proposal at a Holiday Stationstore in New Hope. Written By: Brainerd Dispatch | × Baxter police ARRESTS A 38-year-old man was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, for driving while intoxicated after police conducted a welfare check at a residence on the 5400 block of Fairview Road in response to a report of children being left alone. A 19-year-old man was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday after flagging down an officer along Highway 210 and Baxter Drive and reporting his girlfriend took his phone. The man was cited for underage consumption. A 23-year-old woman was arrested at 3:33 p.m. Feb. 5 for giving a false name to a police officer and violating the conditions of her release after a report of an intoxicated woman carrying a bottle of Hennessy and harassing customers at Walmart, 7295 Glory Road.

Dog stolen with owner s car in Eden Prairie

Updated: 8:23 PM CST February 16, 2021 EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Eden Prairie Police say a dog and the stolen car that the Weimaraner was in have been found. Police say the dog is safe but did not release any further information because it is an active investigation. The dog went missing after the car he was riding in was stolen from a gas station in Eden Prairie Monday night.  Eden Prairie police had sent out an alert asking people to keep an eye out for a 2002 tan Toyota Camry, Minnesota license plate 593-UND, that was taken from the Holiday Station at 8051 Flying Cloud Drive around 7 p.m. Police say the car had been left running with keys in the ignition.
