The accused is her estranged husband. Dexter gardner. The violence breaking out when she came to pick up the kids. Kids. It happened at his mothers apartment on monday. The criminal complaint says thornton didnt know gardner would be there. He was out on charges of beating her. Thornton showed up with a friend. There was an argument. Then gunfire. But it was the kindercare that was rained in as this road flooded. 17 people were trapped when the road became impassable around 6. In the last hour when the road was still closed.
