Kirksville Thousand-Hills Rotary Club completes May in-meeting service project

The Kirksville Thousand-Hills Rotary Club recently completed its May in-meeting service project. Club members gathered and assembled May baskets for the Manor Care residents. Linnete Page (left) planned and organized the project, which involved club members arranging flowers and candy into a colorful basket. The project was meant to bring a little joy to the residents of Manor Care. Brian (right), a worker from Manor Care, said the residents were greatly appreciative of the baskets. Anyone who would like to learn more about Rotary International and the Kirksville Thousand-Hills Rotary Club is welcome to join members on Thursday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Kirksville Aquatic Center, 801 E. Mill Street.

CRC contact center manager speaks to Thousand Hills Rotary Club

Kristy Mueske, contact center manager in Kirksville for Cooperative Response Center (CRC), presented a program at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Kirksville-Thousand Hills. CRC is a nationwide customer contact and dispatch center and central station alarm monitoring solution for electric cooperatives and utilities. CRC merges the benefits of personalized services through technology solutions and live call answering. Mueske has been with CRC for seven years and has held a variety of roles. She has been in the community since the Kirksville CRC office opened in July 2022. The Kirksville-Thousand Hills Rotary Club welcomes anyone who would like to learn more about Rotary International and the community service done by the Kirksville Rotary clubs. The Rotary Club of Kirksville and the Thousand Hills Rotary Club held their annual reverse raffle and silent auction at the Moose Lodge on Saturday night, April 15. Kim and Wayne Blackman won the reverse raffle, pocketing $3,000, and Jim Murdock won the 50/50 drawing.
