But yesterdays wouldbe escape came to an end. Kpix 5s betty yu tells us, the escapee made it to the parking lot and ran straight into the San Jose Police chief. Reporter a 26yearold san jose manmade the bold escape all while his hands were still in cuffs. Police say Hector Flores aries escaped through a door which should lock automatically, flipped his handcuffs from behind and scaled a fence. Then he ran into the police chief in the parking lot. A Department Spokesman says Larry Esquivel immediately something wasnt right when he pulled in for work. He got out of his car and tackled suspect who was running toward him. There was a brief chase but the chief took him down. He was extradited to san jose from mexico recently where Police Believe he was hiding. He is a suspect in 2009 shooting death of a san jose
