CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson women’s soccer team (7-4-4, 3-3-2 ACC) battled the No. 10 Duke Blue Devils (10-4-1, 5-2-1 ACC) on Thursday night at Historic Riggs Field for a 0-0 draw. The Tigers served the Blue Devils their first tie of the season after blanking Duke through full time. “It was really an excellent game of soccer between us and Duke,” said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “It was a very entertaining game, very high level, almost like a chess match. I thought our girls played very well, our defending was excellent and very well disciplined. We got the big save from Halle at the end of the game which was very outstanding. We felt like we were in control, and we had our opportunities to score. From a discipline aspect and following the scouting report, our team was spot on…proud of the kids' performance tonight.” The Tigers and Blue Devils were evenly matched from the first whistle, exchanging time with possession but neither team was able to get on the board a
CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson women’s soccer team (7-4-2) defeated No. 24 Virginia Tech (9-4-1) 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Historic Riggs Field. The win secured Clemson’s sixth consecutive victory against Virginia Tech. Congrats to our team today on a very good win over Virginia Tech, said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. It was a great win over a well organized Hokie team. The second half was a really gritty performance. Makenna Morris, Harper White and Halle Mackiewicz did a great job on our back line. We were very solid and didn’t concede an awful lot. It’s three valuable points in the ACC, so it’s a great weekend for the Tigers and we’re looking forward to next week. The Tigers were able to take an early lead in the fifth minute when junior Makenna Morris capitalized on a ricochet, finding the bottom left corner of the net for a Clemson goal. At the 16th minute mark, the Tigers would double their lead when senior Hal Hershfelt scored a goal to make it 2-0 Clemson off assis
LOUISVILLE, K.Y. - The Clemson women’s soccer team (6-4-2) defeated Louisville (4-5-3) 2-1 on Thursday night at Lynn Family Stadium. “It was a good win tonight,” said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “Although we conceded a goal early, I thought we played really well in the first half. It was great of the girls to come back from behind. The second half was gritty with a lot of defending, so playing on the road in the ACC, it was a good night to get three points. Halle was very good tonight. When we needed her the most she made a couple of really big saves. When you have an exceptional goalkeeper, she can come through like that. The Tigers fell behind 1-0 almost immediately in the first half when Louisville’s Patricia Ward registered a goal at the 1:17 mark. It did not take long for Clemson to find the equalizer, as junior defender Megan Bornkamp used a header to deposit the ball into the goal during the eighth minute. This marked Bornkamp’s 50th career point and first goal of th

This marked the second straight win over the Fighting Irish after beating them at home in an exciting 3-2 matchup in the ACC Quarterfinals last fall. The Tigers and Fighting Irish shared possession and battled back and forth in the first 20 minutes until the 21st minute of the match when the Tiger offense broke through. A beautiful through ball by centerback Harper White set up senior Caroline Conti for a perfect delivery to Sami Meredith who banged the ball in the bottom right corner of the net. Three saves from junior keeper Halle Mackiewicz and an impressive performance by the Clemson backline helped keep the Notre Dame offense at bay. Clemson outshot the Fighting Irish six t
