a lot to talk about. the power outage is not weather related. we don t have any storms or anything around this morning thankfully. we are dealing with the tidal potomac flooding. right now the potomac is receding but still a foot above the flood stage. between 9:00 and 11:00, between two and four feet above flood stage. that is a time of high tide. that will be from the washington waterfront to alexandria down to the mouth of the potomac of the chesapeake bay. temperatures mild. near 60 degrees in washington and the nearby suburbs. it s a bit cooler farther west. we have relief for pollen sufferers. showers in the midwest e coming our way. likely have those later this afternoon. the pollen count for trees is up around 500. we should get some improvement. there s a live picture of capitol hill under a mostly cloudy sky now. by late afternoon, early evening hours a passing shower or a thundershower. no severe storms but we could get some of those tomorrow. a look at night pla
