Like so many others, Chris Gent and his family have not had an easy 2020.“Within our family, we ve had job loss, we ve had work furloughs,” Gent said. “As we were getting closer to the Christmas holiday, we were starting to see more and more the things that we normally do as a family were not available because of COVID.”One thing hadn t changed: Gent’s neighbors in the Conway area still put up bright, beautiful light displays around their homes. Gent says he saw more decorations than in past years.“For some reason I think because more people are at home, I think more people were investing in decorations,” Gent said.Seeing it gave Gent, an experienced website coder, an idea.“I said, well I can develop something in Google maps and actually create a path that people can follow,” Gent said.He named his creation the Conway Community Trail of Lights. Each tree on the map marks a home that s dolled up with displays showing Santa, reindeer and messages of cheer and hope
