STILL LOWERED BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. WESH 2’S HADAS BROWN REPORTS. HADAS: FROM THE SKY WE COULD SEE MONDAY VISITORS ENJOYING BOTH WALT DISNEY WORLD AND UNIVERSAL ORLANDO DURING THIS UNUSUAL HOLIDAY WEEK. UNIVERSAL SHARED BOTH SUNDAY AND MONDAY THAT THEY REACHED CAPACITY BEFORE NOON. PASSHOLDER SCOTT HERRICK SHARED THIS PICTURE SUNDAY SHOWING THE LINE TO GET INTO THE PARK. >> I THINK IT WAS MAYBE BECAUSE IT’S BACKED UP AND THEY’RE TRYING TO DISTANCE WHEN YOU WALK IN, AND THAT’S WHY THAT LINE GOT SO LONG. A SPOKESPERSON TOLD ME THEY ARE NOT SHARING ATTENDANCE SPECIFICS, SAYING THEY CONTINUE TO MANAGE ATTENDANCE AS PART OF HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS. IN RESPONSE TO THAT SAME QUESTION, A SPOKESPERSON FOR DISNEY SAID THEY HAVE KEPT CAPACITY TO 35%. >> AT THE CAPACITY THEY’VE SET, THERE’S NO WAY THAT THEY CAN MAKE A PROFIT. HADAS: THEME PARK EXPERT DUNCAN DICKSON SAYS IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THE PARKS CAN RECOVER FROM THE FINANCIAL BLO OF 2020, BUT HE BELIEVES WORD IS GETTING OUT ABOUT HOW THE PARKS ARE HANDLING THE NEW PRECAUTIONS. >> THEY’RE VERY STRICT, AND I THINK THAT’S HELPING. PEOPLE ARE FEELING SAFE BECAUSE OF THA HADAS: DICKSON BELIEVES THE FINANCIAL TURNAROUND WILL DEPEND ON HOW THINGS GO WITH THE VACCINE AND THE NEW VIRUS STRAIN’S SPREAD. HADAS BROWN REPORTING, WESH 2
