A Polk County mother and military wife is back in Orlando with her family, after being deported three years ago.Alejandra Juarez entered the United States illegally more than twenty years ago and lived undocumented. She was deported in 2018.Congressman Darren Soto asked President Biden to reunite the family, and Juarez s youngest daughter wrote the president a letter, asking for humanitarian parole for her mother.The Department of Homeland Security did grant her humanitarian parole.Juarez flew back to Orlando Saturday. This is what healing looks like, Juarez said, through tears. This is what this president is doing - healing the country. Thank you, President Biden. God bless you. Thank you, Juarez said. Juarez s attorney says Juarez was granted a temporary status, allowing her one year in the United States.They hope within that year, Congress will change her status to permanent.
