The Allahabad High Court recently granted anticipatory bail to a man accused of inciting the public to demolish the Gyanvapi Mosque in Uttar Pradesh's Varanasi.
The mosque committee had challenged the Varanasi court order rejecting its objection to the maintainability of the suit filed by five Hindu women who sought permission to worship Shringar Gauri and other deities whose idols are located on an outer wall of the Gyanvapi Masjid.
The Supreme Court will hear the Gyanvapi mosque case tomorrow, a day before its interim order to seal the area, where a "Shivling" was said to be found, ceases to be in force.
