the money to come from the state, county schools have come up with a list of cost saving measures designed to meet with the cuts in baltimore county. there will be more furloughs and lay offs and no new programs and initiatives. 200 retiring teachers won t be replaced. the county teachers understand the need to cut the budget, but they re worried about the situation getting worse. there s two things on the numbers, one, they re talking about 200. we will have more than that. that means they ll rehire to replace that. the other things are the state cuts. if the state makes cuts and the pension is pushed back, this is the tip of the ice burg and it could impact education. we don t want to see that happening. reporter: the schools will hold the hearings early next month. across maryland today, we had windy conditions out there. it s blustery and frigid at times. current winds have let up a bit. we re looking at 10 to 12 miles per hour winds. the gusts aren t as harsh. we r
