Those kinds of programs are along that same pattern. Governor herbert we could talk all look the about all of the great things happening in the state. The number one focus a governor should have is to grow the economy. It is hard to have anything else happen if you dont have a healthy economy and difficult if it is going in the wrong direction. Utah has a very healthy economy right now but one area we have specialized in is to capitalize on the fact we have the air force base in utah, which has one of the best test and training ranges for air force military in north america. I appreciate the fact in the latest paris air show, the dreamliner and its accelerated takeoff and the airbus 380 and 350 and how theyre able to maneuver at very slow speeds and yet have elevation. It is uncanny how these massive airplanes stay afloat. One of the reasons they can do that is because they have composite material and low weight that allows them to perform in ways they have not been able to do before.
That joined by governor herbert and myself and others, we learned, i could not pronounce the limber cannot not but name, but we learned that many governors are adopting these practices to deliver better results to the people. For example, governors are looking for on boarding processes for Industry Leaders creating streamline regulations using performance data and evidence from research to inform budgets. Improving efforts statewide and using geographic data to understand and prioritize methods. We also learned that many governors are taking a copperheads of approach to deliver results in their states. They are putting pieces together and creating the systems throughout their states. Certainly many different options for delivering results to residents, but regardless whether the governor focuses on one strategy, or implements a statewide approach, we identified three rules that create a state oriented government. It is primarily a rain event, however, because you have 105 Miles Per Hour winds in a hurricane thats lasting for so many hours theres going to be wind devastation too. Theres a restaurant with a roof gone and the blue canopy flapping. We saw scooters blowing down the parking lot and the power lines and debris are down in the roads. However, the bigger problem is the flooding. We have been told as of two hours ago, 18 inches of rain had fallen. Now 18 inches of rain equals 18 feet of snow that gives you an idea of how much rain were talking about. How unusual this is. Flash flooding is going to be a problem. The beach right now is too unsafe for us to be on. Its like whiteout conditions yesterday, the sand and the waves were blowing. This rain is expected to last the rest of the afternoon.
